Natural Remedies for High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure is also known by the name of hypertension. Due to our lifestyles that we lead and the kind of food we eat hypertension is growing at an alarming rate. Let us first understand the meaning of blood pressure. In our body the blood circulates and exerts a pressure on the veins, heart chambers and the walls of arteries. If the force increases it results into high BP. It also causes heart attack and the strokes as it starts the formation of plaque in the arteries. It is very necessary to control the high BP otherwise it may leads to heart attack. It is a silent disease as it is not necessary that it will show the symptoms all the time.

A high-quality high blood pressure treatment diet consists of over six portions of whole grains each day. Whole grains naturally scrub out plaques from arteries, allowing blood to flow more freely and preventing pressure problems caused by back-ups due to those plaques.

Salt also raises your pressure. Any doctor will tell you to avoid it if you have this condition. Even if you are following a medication regimen rather than natural methods of treatment, you should still avoid salt, as it can sabotage all of your good efforts. Season your food with herbs instead.

Natural cures for high blood pressure usually include herbs like hawthorne berry, which has been shown to reduce heart and pulse rates. Dandelion is a powerful diuretic that gets rid of excessive salt buildup in the kidneys. And garlic has long been used to reduce the risk of heart disease.

Apple Vinegar  Nobody is really certain why this works but it does. Take a teaspoon of apple vinegar and mix it with half a glass of water and drink it each morning. After 3 days increase the dosage to a tablespoon per day. On average blood pressure has been reduced by 6.0 mm Hg although some people report a much higher drop. Make sure you are not using distilled apple vinegar as that just doesn't work.

Exercise  Probably the fastest way to lower blood pressure is exercise. Thirty minutes of aerobic exercise like walking, swimming or cycling, done at least 5 days a week, can lower systolic readings by 3.8 mm Hg and diastolic blood pressure by 2.4 mm Hg.

Garlic. This is often used as spice especially for oriental dishes but can be versatile since it can effectively act against the hardening of arteries. Constricted or hardened arteries make it difficult for the blood pressure or systolic to surge forward and distribute blood to the blood vessel recipients.

Fenugreek seeds. The seeds are rich in polysaccharide galactomannan that can aid a lot in the digestion process to promote proper metabolism of nutrients especially in sodium and potassium intakes and can prevent hypertension from taking place.

Home Tips for Acne

Nearly everyone will have to deal with a pimple or two at some point, and many people spend years battling severe acne. Whether you have a scattering of pimples on your forehead or deep-seated, painful cystic acne, you need a good skin care regimen for coping with acne that can help you fend off blemishes and eliminate blackheads. We can help you learn how to care for your skin, prevent pimples, and help your skin to heal.

Mix lemon juice with rose water. One lemon with same proportion of rose water will do. Apply it on your face and rinse it only after 30 mins. Constantly doing so will not only get rid of acne and pimples, but it also has the effect of lightening the skin blemishes.

Orange peel can also be used. Basically, you need to mash it or blend it, mix with some water to form a paste before applying on your problem area.

Even cooking condiments such as vinegar and salt have their uses as home remedies for acne. Mix the two together, before rubbing the mix over the pimples. Leave it there for some 10 to 20 mins before removing with lukewarm water.

Sandalwood Paste: Apply a mixture of sandalwood paste and rose water on the skin. Allow it to be there the whole night. Wash it only the next day. Keep on doing this each day until the scars disappears.

One of the commonly used home remedies for acne scars includes applying turmeric paste on the skin. Turmeric is also known for its medicinal value.

Oatmeal is a natural exfoliant which aids in getting rid of dead skin cells giving way to new skin development while milk is packed with nutrients necessary to make the skin fresher and supple. Soak uncooked oatmeal in milk until it gets soft. Apply the mixture liberally on face making sure that oatmeal sticks and not fall off to the side. Let it stay on the face for fifteen minutes then rinse off with cold water.

Apply mint juice on pimples, and this remedy can be used for other skin infections such as eczema, insect stings, and scabies.

Maintain regular cleaning of your face. One of the proven ways to treat acne is to wash your face at least twice a day. Use a gentle facial soap. Never scrub the affected area. If possible, do this several times a day, then pat try with a clean towel.

Drink 8-10 glasses of water regularly. This is one effective way to clean your internal systems giving you a healthy glowing skin. Water is a great detoxifying and neutralizing agent.

Just don't squeeze your pimples. And if you really want do it. Make sure your hands are very clean and afterwards use a decontamination ointment.

How Improve Immune System

Our immune system is very important to our body. It is the first line of defense from viruses, bacteria and other diseases. Making our immune system strong is simple and you can do it naturally. Below are the basic ways to boost our immune system naturally.

Better immunity means a better you. The immune system contributes to your body's good health in so many different ways. There are three layers of defense that make up your immune system. The first is the outward layer - skin and mucous membranes. These act as a physical, outward barrier. The next layer is your innate system, which responds to viruses or bacteria in a short-term, non-specific manner. The third and most powerful layer is your immune system's adaptive response. This is the layer in which the white blood cells (or lymphocytes) launch a specific attack on pathogens that can do harm to your body.

Fruits and Vegetables are easily digested, absorbed and utilized by your body. This means little energy goes into digesting them and getting rid of the waste they produce, because they produce little to no waste, compared to fast foods, processed foods and so on. They are also full of nutrients that improve your immune system and health

Too much of these three things are bad for your immune system because they significantly reduce the capacity of your immune function to protect your body from cancer cells and other viruses and bacteria. They also stop it from producing its killer cells. Avoid too much alcohol, sugar and fats like the plague if you want your immune function to be capable of prevention against cancer.

Exercise  A regular workout is essential for making our immune system strong against viruses. It eliminates toxins, unwanted fats and helps stop cancer cells from multiplying. Always plan a regular workout everyday.

Garlic The best way to obtain the many healing qualities of garlic is to eat it fresh and finely chopped and within the hour of crushing it. By chopping or crushing garlic you are activating the healing benefits of allicin, the active component in garlic that makes it anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral.

Drink 10 glasses of water a day  Our body is composed of 78% water that makes us more water dependent. Drinking enough water a day can sustain our health needs especially our immune capability. Study also shows that man can survive 10 days without food but water, but cannot survive 3 days without water.

Blueberries are one of the highest ranked fruits tested for antioxidant activity 1. Blueberries are high in Vitamin C and potassium and chock full of phytonutrients, which gives them their disease fighting abilities. They are anti-inflammatory and may lower your risk of cancer and heart disease. According to cancer specialist Gary D. Stoner at Ohio State University, the high levels of anthocyanins that give berries their red, blue and black colors-have been linked to slowing the aging process, protecting the heart, and preventing mental decline.

How to get Slim Body

how do you get a thin body anyway? I'm sure you're frustrated with diets that fail, workout programs that just don't feel realistic and supplements that don't seem to have any effect. Weight loss is a complex issue and the biggest factor people don't take into account is that everyone is different and people are overweight for different reasons.

The best is having a long walk early in the morning, or cycling. Swimming is also one of the best exercise to stay fit. Any outdoor games like batminton, basketball are also good. Yoga is the best form of exercise and can be done in the house too. Along with exercise, I would suggest some homemade recipe for losing weight, which has been used by many and they have succeeded in losing their weight.

Combining an aerobic and resistance training program with a healthy diet will boost your metabolism even higher. Aerobic exercise burns calories while you exercise as well as decreases your risk for many of today's most deadly diseases like heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, among others. The beauty of resistance, or weight training, is it builds muscle. Nothing burns calories quite like lean muscle mass, even when you are doing nothing. It takes quite a bit of energy to not only build that muscle but also to just maintain it.

jogging at a comfortable but controlled pace will also benefit the whole body including our stamina. This exercise is especially target at cutting down cellulite on the legs. Again, special posture and motion is required to achieve the maximum result.

Burn calories and increase your fitness level through exercise - Combine cardio routines with strength training sessions to lower body fat and tone your body. When you burn the fat and add on muscle, you create a leaner body. Muscle burns fat. The fact is, when you put on muscle, you increase the amount of fat your body will burn for fuel. Do you know that one pound of muscle is much smaller in area than one pound of fat? That's right. So don't be afraid to weight train. Make both kinds of exercise a daily habit and you'll find that losing weight fast and keeping it off will become a reality and not a dream.

Drink plenty of water. Water is an essential part of dieting because it helps regulate your body. As you decrease the overall amount of calories you consume, the water will also help you feel fuller and keep you from obsessing over the diet itself.

Jump Rope - Begin by performing two jumps for each turn of the rope. Safety: Use the correct size jump rope and always land softly on the balls of your feet (that is the upper part of the bottom of your foot). Keep thinking I am losing weight.

Causes of Hepatitis

Hepatitis is inflammation of the liver resulting in damage and destruction of the liver cells. Hepatitis can be either acute or chronic. Acute hepatitis is usually caused by viral infection, drug overdose or reaction, and exposure to chemicals. Hepatitis which persists longer than six months is termed as chronic hepatitis.

The Hepatitis C virus causes diabetes (40% of genotype 1 have diabetes), it affects the brain causing depression, it causes lung problems, neuropathy, fibromyalgia, Sjogren's, cardiac problems, skin problems, arthritis, stomach problems, anemia, fatigue, and of course, cirrhosis. After cirrhosis comes DECOMPENSATION. The liver stops working, the skin and sclera become yellow, your belly looks like you're pregnant, you're unable to process protein, you get anemic, confused, the kidneys stop working and many bleed to death.

Hepatitis C can also be transmitted through bodily fluids. This is possible in case of sexual intercourse, the risk in this case is perpetual, in case you fear that either of you could be diagnosed by hepatitis C it is advisable to get it verified. There are chances of hepatitis C being positive in case you get punctured accidentally by a needle. Abroad blood transfusions are common, in case the equipment is not well sterilized well; there are chances of hepatitis C being transferred. But hepatitis C is not transmitted by coming in contact with people, like by kissing, sharing of utensils, hugging and from toilet seats.

Commonly people are not affected by the disease initially. There are chances that symptoms like flu, pain in the joints, fatigue, appetite going down and also vomiting sensation may be experienced, all this after about a week of being infected. In about one out of five cases that are diagnosed with hepatitis C, the immune system would resolve the virus from the system in about six months.

Hepatitis B is preventable with safe and effective vaccines that have been available since 1982. It is 95 per cent effective in stopping chronic infections from developing. It is the first vaccine against a major human cancer. The World Health Organization (WHO) called for all children to receive the hepatitis B vaccine, in 1991. 116 countries have added this vaccine to their routine immunisation  programmes.

Protein is necessary to maintain the integrity and function of the liver. The diet in infectious hepatitis should be rich in protein and carbohydrate but poor in fat. The fats must not, however, be so severely restricted that the food will become unpalatable and the patient will lose his appetite and quit eating. The diets recommended are 150 grams of protein, 350 grams of carbohydrate and 50 grams of fat which provide about 2,500 calories. Since the appetite is weak, the meals are to be small and given at frequent intervals. People who are severely undernourished and who sustain infectious hepatitis may have extra mounts of certain basic amino acids, methionine, cystine or choline, which deficiencies seem to enhance the virulence of the virus.

Some Natural Remedies for Headache

There are many causes for headaches, perhaps as many as there are people who suffer from them. Some common reasons for headaches are dehydration, a bad sitting position, tension in your neck, doing too much close work without taking time to relax your eyes, during your monthly period, after a head injury or concussion, a poor diet, the list goes on.

Home Remedies for Headache

One of the best home remedies for migraine headaches is a scalp massage. It's preferable to get someone else to handle the massage duties for you, but if no one is available, this is a great do it yourself project. Sit in a quiet room and slowly use your fingertips to massage your scalp. Make little circles while applying a small amount of pressure. You can do this over the surface of your entire scalp excluding your temples. This will serve to relax you and help to chase the beginnings of the migraine away.

Raisins are also a quick remedy against headaches. Even those with migraines can benefit from chewing raisins. Raisins are low in fat and yet provide an energy boost. They are great as a snack as they contain a high level of antioxidants. Raisins are good for your overall health apart from being good for curing headaches.

As more research indicates the prevalence of headaches to blood flow abnormalities we are learning that ginger reduces clotting time of blood cells and also blocks the production of prostaglandins, which are linked to the inflammation associated with headaches. Ginger has long been known for its therapeutic properties to relieve headaches, nausea, and vomiting. Modern science suggests that headache sufferers who take 1.5 to 2 grams of powdered ginger daily report fewer headaches and less severe headaches. Ginger is widely available in the vitamin and supplement section of major stores and can be purchased in the correct dosage in encapsulated form.

Biofeedback is a migraine headache remedy that has given excellent results for a large number of years. Bodily functions such as breathing, heart rate, skin temperature, and blood pressure are autonomic functions of the body, which mean your body manages and controls them routinely without any assistance from you.

Biofeedback is a training program that shows individuals how to control these automatic body functions voluntarily. When somebody has learned these skills they will be able to use these biofeedback strategies to cause relaxation of their muscle tissue and thus reduce or eliminate a migraine or other discomfort caused by tension and stress.

Placing an ice bag on the rear of the neck at the bottom of the skull is one more fine migraine headache remedy. The goal is to decrease the blood flow and thereby the amount of pressure in the head. A moist cloth should be placed between the skin and the ice pack as a protective barrier to inhibit the skin from getting too cold.

Treatment for Headache

It sure is time that we come to understand the use of natural products and the positive way they can help our body to stay healthy. Stop taking the pill for every illness and start using the natural products that can also reduce your problems in the best healthy way.

Many people often look for alternatives treatments for migraine headaches. Acupuncture is a good treatment that can help relieve headaches. People often use acupuncture to reduce the severity of the migraine headaches and reduce the frequency that they occur. These alternative therapies can also be used to reduce the side effects of migraines such as sickness, stress, muscle tension and fatigue.

There are often different triggers that can lead to the onset of migraine headaches. Most migraines are usually quite severe and have a detrimental effect on people. Depending on the migraine headache symptoms, the most common way to treat a migraine is through drugs. There are many different drugs you can take that will help reduce the affects of the migraine. These are temporary solutions to migraine headaches. You should always consult a doctor if you are having severe cases of migraines, because it may be a more serious underlying issue.

Many migraines are often caused from tight and tense muscles in the upper back and neck. The tension created here can sometimes feel like a bone structure problem but this is not the case. Often this can be mass of it out by yourself, but sometimes a professional massage therapist or even a chiropractor may be needed to relieve the tension if it is severe.

Another useful technique is to stretch frequently. Any good fitness program will include an element of stretching, but doing extra stretches for the neck and shoulders through your day can help reduce the likelihood of headaches. Stretching improves circulation and reduces tension, both of which can reduce the frequency of headaches. Physical activity releases endorphins, which are the body's natural pain killer and which are also responsible for the good feelings that can come with exercise often referred to as "runner's high."

A lot of attention that causes pain can be pinpointed to the muscles either side of the spine at the base of the skull. If you feel this is where your tension lies, even a simple massage with 2 to 3 fingers on the back of the neck will help with pain. It is a good idea to do this was to sit at a desk or table as you can rest your elbows on the surface to prevent your arms from growing tired or strained.

Remedies for Heart Diseases

It is always good to keep a check on the level of cholesterol in your body. This is particularly required when you cross the age of 40. It is then that the heart becomes weak and there are more chances of developing one of more heart diseases. There is a simple way to make sure that the level of cholesterol in your body is within the permissible limits. You can carry out a simple blood test to determine the level of cholesterol in your body.

LDL Cholesterol is also known as bad cholesterol because it transports cholesterol to the arteries. The risk here is that there is every chance that it will get stored there by the arterial protoglycans. This will lead to the formation of plaques causing the condition called atherosclerosis and finally to coronary artery disease. HDL or High Density Lipoprotein cholesterol is also called good cholesterol because it has found that it can remove cholesterol from the arteries and take it back to the liver to be excreted or to be re-utilized.

Major list of heart diseases are discussed below:

1)      Coronary heart disease: This involves the coronary arteries and veins. Coronary arteries are arteries that supply blood to heart. The cause of coronary heart disease is usually the blockage of the coronary artery or the rupture of the blood vessel.
2) Hypertensive heart disease: This occurs when the blood pressure is high, hence the heart is forced to work harder.
3) Rheumatic Disease of the heart: This occurs as a result of the damage done by acute rheumatic fever. This usually occurs in the early life of humans mainly between six to twelve years of age.
4) cardiac arrest: This manifests in sudden stopping of the heartbeat and therefore of the pumping action of the heart.

Adverse effect upon the heart and general circulation due to sluggish action which may accompany evacuation. This is due to lack of body exercise. It is necessary to activate other muscle groups which are supplementary to the activities of the heart. This is because the heart cannot be expected to carry the entire load of circulation alone. This can only be done through a planned programme of exercise. Through exercise, muscles will help in moving fluids through the body. Through these exercise, the muscles of the heart are strengthened in such a way as to help in increasing its output per beat and reduces the frequency of the cardiac rate. The effects of exercises on the heart among others, include light increase in the size of the heart, leading to slower heart beat and greater stroke volume and enhanced recovery of the heart after exercise.

Many people want to get fair complexion. Fair complexion means light colored skin. I want to tell you that skin with light color is more prone to burns and freckles. But, if you want to get it, try to focus on evening your skin tone under your skin care regimen keep your main focus upon eliminating blemishes and keeping the skin healthy, glowing and supple. Here are some useful tips on how to get lighter skin color at home:

Fair Skin Tips

Turmeric is very popular as a skin-lightening product and is effective also. Take half teaspoon of turmeric, mix it with raw milk and add a few drops of lemon juice. Apply it on skin and leave for 30 minutes. Little pain might be cause but it is a proof that it is working. Then wash with water.

Make a face pack of three tablespoon of cucumber juice, one spoon lemon juice and rose water. Apply it on the face, neck, hands and legs and leave for about 30 minutes and then rinse off. Twice in a day apply it. Very soon you will see results coming in front.

Bleaching can be done at home too. For that take one-teaspoon turmeric powder, mix half spoon of curd in it, and add a few drops of olive oil and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly and apply on the skin. Keep on for 20 minutes and then rinse off.

Make a mixture of 2 tablespoons of cucumber juice with 1 tablespoon of lime juice. Apply this resultant mixture to your face and leave it for at least 20 to 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and seal your pores by splashing some cold water or you can also apply an ice cube.

Take one gram flour and mix lemon juice and yogurt to it. After making paste apply it on your skin and leave for 20 minutes. Apply it before taking bath daily. In a few weeks only you will see results. Also this paste is good for tanning.

Our skin has a pigment called Melanin which determines its color. So, higher the content of melanin in the skin, darker will it be. Stating it other way round, if you need a fair complexion, you need a way to reduce the content of melanin in the skin.

This exact thing can be easily achieved by Extrapone Nutgrass Root. This comes from a plant grown wild in India and has been proven to reduce the content of melanin by over 40%.

Hydroquinone is one of them but in higher concentrations, it can cause irritations and may even be carcinogenic. It makes skin lighter by preventing melanin from being formed.

While applying these remedies also make a point to include lots of fresh vegetables and fruits in your diet. Also drink plenty of water.
